The transformation of the famous tower blocks in Riverside Dene is set to continue into its second phase.
As work nears completion on the first three of the area's blocks, the City Council's Executive and the Board of Your Homes Newcastle have agreed a financial package to keep the project on track, with The Pines and The Cedars next in line for development.
The fourth and fifth blocks in the scheme will be developed for social housing and sale respectively, in partnership with YHN and Bridging NewcastleGateshead.
Residents will be invited to view completed flats in The Sycamores over the first weekend in May, before the first tenants begin to return from May 14, and there'll be an opportunity for the general public to do the same at a later date.
